The purpose of this report was to propose dewatering system for the Sokhna Container Terminal - Basin 2, Sokhna Port – EGYPT. The study was submitted to DP World Sokhna. The report provided different design scenarios and recommendations for the temporary dewatering system to be implemented during the excavation of the basin. Excavation and transportation of 6.50 Million m³ of Excavated material. Depth of Excavation up to 8.00 m with Average Working area 1.50 million m2.

Scope:

- Proposed and designed dewatering system that allows for dry excavation of basin 2 down to the deepest possible depth. The study contained general description of the different soil layers and types within the basin zone, field permeability test analysis and interpretation, and dewatering system design.
